Citrefine Plantations limited, trading as Kawandama Hills Plantation, is located in Chikangawa, in Northern Region of Malawi. It started its operations in 2009. It distills organic essential oils like Eucalyptus citriodora oil, Rose geranium oil, Lavender oil, Lemon grass oil, Vanilla oil, peppermint oil, English Thyme oil, Lantana camara oil and Lippia javanica oil. It uses steam distillation process. It has four stills of two tons each. Currently, the Company is able to distill more than 40 tons of oil annually. Our oils are of high quality. The Company has high qualified personnel in both plantation management and distillation. These oils are exported to different companies. These essentials oils are used in perfumery and pharmaceutical industries.
