Civil Service Commission - Lilongwe, Malawi

In carrying out their functions and responsibilities, persons holding or acting in offices in the Civil Service are obliged to serve the Government of the day without regard to political affiliation or influence; and to serve the public in a professional, fair and impartial manner. It is the responsibility of the Civil Service Commission to ensure that civil servants abide by, and enhance, the core values of the Civil Service as stipulated in the Public Service Act, Strategic Plans and other documents, including integrity, impartiality, fairness, honesty, meritocracy, professionalism, transparency and accountability.

The Commission, on its part, expects that people in positions of influence will respect the independence and integrity of the Civil Service Commission. They must not exert
