Its Registration number in the index of Registration is 85693 and is wholly owned by Malawians. THE JOB CENTRE and provides recruitment services for both jobs and facilitate student recruitment on behalf of colleges and universities both within the country and abroad.

Student Recruitment
We facilitate international student recruitment on behalf on colleges and universities by carrying out activities including, but not limited to the following:
• Refer students to Colleges and universities abroad
• Assist students with appropriate procedures for enrolment
• Counsel students for visa interviews
• Coordinate any refund to the students if appropriate from institutions
Job Recruitment and Selection
The Employment Equity Act and other current legislation has made it imperative that all recruitment organizations and their clients involved in recruitment and selection of staff follow a procedurally fair and non-discriminatory process of identifying the best possible candidates for any available position. THE JOB CENTRE intends to be the only leading recruitment agency dedicated to following a Competence Based Job Analysis and Interviewing.
An administratively intense and complex procedure, Competence Based Job Analysis or Profiling refers to that process of clearly identifying both the job description and the job specification pertaining to a particular vacancy within a client company. It identifies the exact required individual by clearly looking at the specific qualities, knowledge and skills or behaviour that will ensure an applicants success in a particular position. It is also the only procedurally fair process of ensuring that THE JOB CENTRE and its clients are able to fairly discriminate and appoint suitable applicants based on the exact, inherent and justified requirements of their particular organization.

Our recruitment campaign management service is comprehensive from inception to selection. It offers a flat fee rather than commission based on a salary. The services include:

Temporary Recruitment
THE JOB CENTRE has an extensive database of temporary staff. They are interviewed and selected in exactly the same manner as permanent staff and are available at short notice. Much care is taken to scrutinize qualifications and thorough reference checks are undertaken including finger prints taken by the Police.
• We comply with the Malawi Labour Relations Act as well as the various applicable Employment and Wage Acts.
• The administration and payment of temps is done on a weekly basis.
• Employee benefits are administered and paid for by THE JOB CENTRE.
• A confidentiality agreement is signed by our temps to safeguard your propriety information.
• We ensure that temps understand the temporary nature of the assignment so that no expectation of permanent employment is created.
Artisan and Labour Hire
As a registered Temporary Employment Service, we guarantee to employ only fully indentured and qualified artisans who are able to produce apprenticeship papers on request. THE JOB CENTRE engages the National Construction Industry Council and TEVETA so as to conform to their conditions and standards.
• The administration and payment of artisans is done on weekly basis
• All artisans are fully covered by workman’s compensation insurance.
• Artisans work under your supervision.
• We are not restricted to Lilongwe. We are able to supply contract staff nationwide.
• Travelling expenses, tools, safety wear, Pension and Provident Funds, and administrative costs are included in our rates.
Assessment Centre
The term “Assessment Centre” is generally used to describe the application of a range of different objective assessment methods to enable the employer to identify quality candidates predicted to perform effectively in post. At THE JOB CENTRE the following methods are used:

• Structured competence-based interview
• Group exercise
Our Assessment Centre is available for hire on prior arrangement with the Managing Director.

Advert Response Handling
We offer a multi-level advert response handling service which can be structured in a variety of ways and customized to your requirement. This may include compiling the advert, recommending the most appropriate media, receiving and short listing CVs and conducting reference checks. THE JOB CENTRE has a job board at its office where jobs vacancies are displayed. We are also in the process of developing our own website where we will be placing job vacancies
Retrenchment Service
For companies who are in the unfortunate position of having to retrench staff, our Consultants would be able to assist with working out payment benefits and other logistical arrangements at a fee. THE JOB CENTRE will however be able to assist free of charge to place staff in alternative employment. Where possible, contact us ahead of termination date and be assured of our confidentiality at all times.
